Opening of
Glebe Way

The Mayor of Richmond upon Thames, Cllr. Robin Jowit opened a new development of affordable homes for rent on Friday 03 June at Glebe Way in Richmond.
The development has been built and managed by a partnership of 2 housing associations; Thames Valley Housing and Inquilab Housing Association.
The development was built by Thames Valley Housing, working with Pentair Building Contractors and the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, and consists of 8, 2 bedroom houses and 2, 3 bedroom houses. The development was then handed over to Inquilab Housing Association to provide residents and manage the properties.
Captain K Chandran, the Chair of Inquilab Housing Association said “Progress is not only about meeting targets, we take care not to lose sight of the housing need, social exclusion and disadvantages we are here to tackle – not alone, but with the support of residents, partners such as Thames Valley Housing, the Council and our stakeholders, all of whom are important to our work”
Keith Holloway, Thames Valley Housing Chief Executive said, “alone, we cannot tackle disadvantage effectively. This scheme demonstrates how by working together with Inquilab and the council, we can not only provide new homes, but enhance job prospects and life opportunities for all parts of the community”
