Board of Management

Inquilab is run by a board of management and staff. We have a voluntary Board of Management which is made up of 10 members who lead and direct the organisation.

The Board members are (year of joining in brackets): 


  

Olu Olanrewaju (2009)
Chair


Olu has recently been elected as Chairman of the Board and joins us with 20 years experience in housing. Olu’s expertise lies in development, housing management and maintenance and he currently works for a large housing association.

Trevor Davies (2011)

Trevor has over 10 years Board level experience, as either MD or FD, within advertising, marketing and technology businesses. He has significant experience of managing businesses through major change, both in growth and distressed situations, and has led corporate acquisitions and disposals.



   


Duncan Hughes (2011) 

Duncan has 25 years of City experience in asset management and investment banking and is a member of the examination panel of the CFA UK.  In addition to his experience in property investment, he has a keen interest in local community development.


  

   

Judith Harrison (2000)

Judith is a retired Housing professional, following 28 years in Housing Policy and Development.  Prior to this she was in private sector Systems Research and Management.

Mukhtar Latif (2010)

 

Mukhtar has over 20 years experience working at senior level in the social housing sector delivering affordable housing across a range of tenures.  He works as a director in a private company providing development services to developers, registered social landlords and local authorities to deliver affordable housing.


 

   

Zakia Choudhary (2010)

 

Zakia has over 20 years experience of customer service working in the public sector. She has supported disadvantaged and vulnerable people to improve their chances of gaining employment. Her background includes collaborative working in wider partnerships with local employers, training providers and voluntary organisations.

 

John Butler (2010)

John has 30 years of housing experience of working in social housing for community based housing organisations.  His expertise is in housing management and as a former housing association Chief Executive, he has considerable experience of growth and change management.

 

 

Jane Vessey (2011)

Jane has over 18 years experience working in the investment industry; starting out as an equity analyst before becoming an investment manager. In addition to working in London, she spent eight years in Asia based in Japan and Indonesia.  Jane now runs a training and consultancy business providing services to the financial sector in London and overseas. She also lectures at a number of business schools on financial analysis and investment topics.


Kris Murali (2011)

 

Kris works as the Group Director of Finance and Resources for a charity operating in the UK and overseas. Kris has considerable commercial and general management experience from a career spanning over 32 years working in both the private and not-for-profit sectors.  Kris has been involved in managing and creating sustainable and profitable businesses and driving efficiencies. 



Amarjit Dhesi (2011)

Amarjit has experience working in community and the local housing market and is particularly skilled in interacting with diverse ethnic populations, and engaging and building working partnerships with Local authorities and voluntary care groups.
