Company history

Inquilab was founded in 1987 by a group of local people primarily to provide housing and support for Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) communities in West London.

Inquilab means 'revolution'  in Hindi. It was chosen because it symbolised the way the new organisation would pursue positive change to meet the housing needs of all sectors of the BME community.

Inquilab's focus has always been and still remains, committed to serving all sectors of the minority ethnic community.  We work to meet the needs of our tenants and listen to their views through their presence on our Board.
